Wild Mountains
An organisation that is close to my heart is Wild Mountains.
At Wild Mountains, time stands still and all you want to do is breathe in the magical mountain air…. but that’s not all that goes on at Wild Mountains. This amazing organisation focuses on providing behavioural based environmental education to school aged kids at the time in their lives that can have the most impact.
Their programmes are aimed at 10-12 year olds, who are starting to make connections with the planet and are starting to form views and bahviours that affect their impact on the environment. The programmes run through a range of topics from solar energy to biodiversity and a thorough understanding of how our planet’s ecosystems work together.
In 2019, the centre opened up its doors to participate in Sustainable House Day, and welcomed many visitors who came to learn about the sustainable building practices and materials used at Wild Mountains. Here are some pics of the amazing structures at Wild Mountains.
